Gaviscon Infant stabilises the Stomach contents and so reduces the incidence of reflux and regurgitation of feeds.

Active Ingredients
Each dose of gaviscon Infant contains Sodium alginate 225mg, magnesium alginate 87.5mg. It also contains mannitol and Colloidal silica.
Dosage
Prepare immediately before use and do not give more than 6 times in 24 hours.
Breast-fed Babies: under 4.5Kg (10lb)- 1 dose, over 4.5Kg- 2 doses.Add 5ml of cooled, boiled water to the powder in a glass. Mix to a smooth paste and add another 10ml water to the mix.
Give after each feed, using a spoon or feeding bottle.
Bottle -fed Babies: Under 4.5Kg, One dose to be mixed into not less than 115ml of each feed in the bottle and shaken well. Over 4.5Kg, 2 doses to be mixed into not less than 225ml of each feed in the bottle and shaken well.
Young Children: 2 doses to be prepared as for Breast-fed babies to be taken after each meal.
Warnings
Do not use gaviscon Infant with other feed thickening agents or infant milk preparations containing thickening agents.
Ask your Doctor if your Child:
* has a fever or gastroenteritis or Diarrhoea or is Vomiting.
* Has been on a low salt diet.
* Is being given other medication.
* Is premature.
gaviscon Infant should not be used for more than 7 days without checking with your Doctor.
