Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG 3.5 Billion CFU
Bifidobacterium animalis BB-12 3.5 Billion cells
Total probiotic bacteria (at the time of manufacture) No less than 7 billion CFU
(CFU - Colony Forming Units)
Capsules also contain - maltodextrin, microcrystalline cellulose, silicon dioxide and magnesium stearate. May contain traces of milk products.
Dosage
Recommended Dose - Adults (12 years or older) take 1 capsule once or twice daily with food.
Children (3 years and over) - Take 1/2 to 1 capsule daily with food.
For young children - capsules should be opened and the contents mixed with milk or water.
Warnings
Additional Information - Infants 1 month to 3 years: Consult your health professional before administering to this age group. Premature neonates and infants 1 month to 3 years of age have tolerated 4.8 billion CFU/day of Bifidobacterium animalis BB-12 and at least 10 billion CFU/day of Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG. Our recommended dose would therefore be to take half the contents of one capsule and mix with breast milk, infant formula, milk or water and drink once daily.
Consult your physician before use with the following treatments and/or conditions - radiation therapy, recnet oral or gastrointestinal surgery (particuarly short bowel loop) and those who are immuno-suppressed (e.g. HIV). Under such circumstances, there is increase susceptibility of bacterial translocation and subsequent infections such as live absecess, endocarditis and septicemia.
Individuals with severe IgE mediated dairy allergies should avoid taking Clinicians MultiFlora or consult their health professional first.
Pregnancy and Breast Feeding - Both Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG and Bifidobacterium animalis BB-12 are suitable for use during pregnancey and breast feeding. Recent research has shown that taking these specific probiotics during pregnancy in conjunction with nutritional counselling, can support healthy blood sugar balance.
No known side effects - Lactobacilli and Bifidobacteria have been used for decades and are well tolerated.
